Projects

Following the covid-19 pandemic in the world, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry together with SCADEP designed an emergency project for various districts in the country as a way of tackling food insecurity. Gbomsamba village benefited from 155 acres of farm land. The project was a full package in which the said area was ploughed, harrowed and seed harrowed with seed rice, fertilizer and herbicides. Masie Farms as service provider was given a target of 155 acres which we exceeded to 159.39 acres. We divided the whole area in to plots of 1hectare each to the farmers at Gbomsamba. Even though our contract ended at the seeding harrowing stage, we continued to providing supervision and technical expertise for the project to succeed.

We started the ploughing on the 9^th May 2020 and we completed the broadcasting on the 29^th of May 2020. The project was officially handed over on the 4th of June, 2020. However, we continue providing supervision and technical expertise to the farmers.
